1. Vacancy at the Knysna Sedgefield Hospice – Shop Manager

This position offers:

  • An opportunity to manage a Hospice Charity Shop in Sedgefield.
  • To lead a team of volunteers and implement systems.
  • Congenial working hours.

Requirements for Applicants:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A happy disposition with honesty and integrity.
  • At least 3-years’ experience in retail management.
  • Fluency in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
  • Management or leadership experience.
  • Valid code 08 drivers licence.

2. Vacancy at the Knysna Sedgefield Hospice – Professional Nurse Manager

This position offers:

  • A Professional Nurse the opportunity to lead an established palliative care team.
  • The care of patients with terminal and chronic progressive illnesses. Patients are cared for in their own homes.
  • Opportunity for personal and professional development including training and a comprehensive approach to caring for the carer.
  • Congenial working hours.

Requirements for Applicants:

  • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.
  • Valid code 08 drivers licence.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • At least 5-years’ experience as a Professional Nurse.
  • Fluency in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
  • Management or leadership experience.
  • Palliative Care Experience.

  • Support volunteer programme.

3. Vacancy at the Barrydale Hospice: Professional Nurse – Short term assignment

(Six-to-nine month contract)

Background:

The Barrydale Hospice, NPO 176-335, established in 2013, is a registered Non-Profit and Public Benefit Organization, accredited by the Hospice Palliative Care Association of South Africa as an entry level one-star in-home hospice. We wish to appoint a registered Professional Nurse for a six to nine month assignment to join our dedicated team, enhance and expand our well-established professional palliative care service.  Reporting to the Medical Manager, the Professional Nurse function represents the Barrydale Hospice service at the direct interface of palliative care, through ensuring that the patients and their families are provided with high quality nursing care.  The successful incumbent would also be part of the public awareness and education team to widen the reach of the organization.

4. Vacancy at the The Highway Hospice: Professional Nurse

Background:

The Highway Hospice is in need of a Professional Nurse for our amazing Home Care Team. Must be registered with the SA Nursing Council and in possession of a valid driving livence for a manual car. We require a minimum of five years experience in Palliative Care as well as a formal qualification in Palliative Care. If you do not meet ALL criteria, please do not apply.
